In its 43-year history Hidro Solo maintains its focus on innovating and growing, producing effective solutions that stand out for their high technical quality. Over the last 20 years, the company has concentrated on strengthening the Water Treatment segment with technological innovations, product development and improvement, focusing on efficiency and durability. Among our main products, Pluvitec® Blocks and Crepines stand out.

Pluvitec® Blocks are a patented confined fund flow system, which has several advantages and are present in dozens of locations in Brazil, covering more than 14,500 m² of filters in water treatment plants, in the largest sanitation companies in the country. Pluvitec® Crepines are patented nozzles (diffusers) with exclusive grooved discs for use in confined fund flow systems.

Companies such as Sabesp, Sanasa, Ceade, Rio +, Corsan and Águas do Brasil are among our clients. These are water treatment plants with filters entirely using Pluvitec® Blocks and/or Crepines, treating water for the population in the five regions of Brazil, reaching more than 3.5 million people.

TESTED AND PROVEN PRODUCT QUALITY

Over the last 15 years, Pluvitec® Blocks and Crepines went through evaluations and tests that prove their high technical quality in the composition of confined flow funds for sand filters in water treatment plants. These evaluations were carried out by technical professionals from several companies in the sanitation sector, such as Sabesp and Sanasa, evaluating various aspects of the product. Check it out below:

In Figure 1, SABESP report mentions the removal of the support bed, precisely due to the use of Crepines that have grooved discs. Currently there are two types of opening for Crepines, 0.4 mm and 2.0 mm. The latter also provides a substantial reduction in the support bed, which increases the efficiency of the sand filter and leads to better quality of the treated water, as shown below in the SANASA comparative table (Figure 2), where a smaller quantity of Crepines and with part of the support bed were removed to use a larger layer of anthracite, providing an increase in the filter flow.

Another important point to highlight is the water savings due to the reduction in filter backwashing time. The use of air as backwash aid shows the versatility of the system, which is already equipped to work with or without air, with absolute uniformity in the distribution of water and air. This water saving, and other points such as improving the quality of treated water, can be seen below (pages 13 and 14 of the technical report prepared by SAAE from Salto/SP and also on page 8 of the SABESP report in Campo Limpo Paulista/SP). See Figures 3, 4 and 5, below.

The system, composed of Pluvitec® Blocks and Crepines, is completely safe for water treatment systems for human consumption, as shown in the safety report for Pluvitec® Blocks and Crepines:
